  • Scaffolding Engineering & Support: Engineered, erected, and maintained extensive scaffolding systems to provide safe access for overhead works. Our team managed continuous modifications and final removal to accommodate the evolving needs of the heavy mechanical phase.

  • Crane Rail Rehabilitation: Supported the primary contractor, Ryba Marine, in the systematic removal and replacement of heavy-duty overhead crane rails along both the east and west corridors of the powerhouse.

  • Historic Facility Integration: Navigated the unique challenges of a 100+ year-old structure, implementing vibration-sensitive and non-destructive access methods to protect the facility’s legacy while enabling modern upgrades.

The Result

By providing a seamless blend of safety expertise and robust access infrastructure, WSS enabled the successful replacement of the facility’s crane rails. Our presence ensured that the high-risk vertical work was performed without incident, preserving the structural integrity of the historic powerhouse while restoring its essential heavy-lifting capabilities.
